Trumbull Street / Yale Campus
In 1980, Cardinal Engineering prepared a facility plan for the City-wide elimination of Combined Sewer Overflows, which included preliminary design of 103 miles of storm sewers utilizing the EPA SWMM model. Since 1985, Cardinal has designed and provided construction engineering services for eight (8) major combined sewer separation projects and other storm sewer interceptor projects with a construction cost of over $40 million (2013) including the following recent project:
Yale Campus/Trumbull Street Sewer Separation Project Phase 1A:
For this project, Cardinal provided all engineering services during design and construction contract administration and resident engineering services during construction.
Completion of this project was necessary for the construction of a new Yale campus on Prospect Street. Therefore, it was critical that the design and construction be completed in a timely manner. Construction was completed under budget and on time in 2013.
Project Cost: $12,200,000
